How Webxam works
Webxam can be used as a standalone digital exam solution or through FrontCore Training Management System, where it fits into your existing flow for course publishing, registrations, participant access, exams and follow up.
Prepare the exam
Create new or import existing questions, create exam templates, choose your delivery mode and security level and assign candidates to the exam.
Give candidates access
Give candidates access to their assigned exams through Webxam. When Webxam is used through FrontCore TMS, participants can access their exams from FrontCore My Page.

Is Webxam a standalone product or part of FrontCore TMS?
Both. Webxam can be used as a standalone digital exam solution, through FrontCore’s Training Management System, or alongside existing testing software when you only need proctoring.
The technology is delivered in cooperation with Innouedo, a European provider of digital examination technology with 10+ years of EdTech expertise. Innoedu is ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certified, supporting strong processes for information security and quality managemen. Webxam itself has been on the market for 8 years, while FrontCore makes it available as part of our product offering for training providers.
Can we control how strict the exam security should be?
Yes. The security setup can be adapted to the exam type, from simpler digital tests to more controlled exams with candidate identification, identity verification for exams, face recognition, screen and video recording, AI proctoring, live proctoring and suspicious activity flagging.
Can we use Webxam Proctoring only?
Yes. If you already have digital testing software or exam software, Webxam Proctoring can be used as a separate proctoring solution to support remote proctoring and exam supervision.
The exam itself can still run in the system you already use, while Webxam adds security features such as candidate identification, screen and video recording, live proctoring, suspicious behaviour alerts and post exam reports.
Can our team still review answers manually?
Yes. Webxam supports automatic grading and AI supported correction, but manual assessment can still be used when human review is needed.
Is Webxam GDPR compliant, and where is data hosted?
Yes. Webxam is a GDPR-compliant exam platform with secure handling of exam data, candidate information and exam recordings. Data can be hosted in Norway, depending on your setup and agreement.
Can Webxam support paper based exams?
Yes. Webxam can support paper based exams and mass scanning. You can print exams, scan completed answer sheets, and let Webxam digitise and evaluate paper responses.
